You had me at Vargas paintings. His women were curvy and unashamed of their bodies. As with burlesque, there was often the illusion that more was showing than actually was, and that was part of the sex appeal. So much of that speaks to me – good coverage with a sexy twist, the everyday woman as her best self… With this collection I went back to some of the classics – animal prints, bold reds, lace with satin trim and brought them into the modern era.
